Why I do this work
I became a physician because I believe good medicine begins with truly knowing your patient. Not just their diagnoses, but their story, their values, and what a healthy life looks like to them.
Medicine, at its best, is a relationship. I trained in Family Medicine because it lets me care for the whole person across all of life's chapters. For me, that has always meant a particular calling to older adults, people who bring decades of experience, complex health histories, and questions that deserve real, thoughtful answers.
At Orland Primary Care, I have the privilege of practicing the way I believe care should always be delivered: unhurried, thorough, and genuinely centered on the patient in front of me. I partner with my patients to manage chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, always keeping an eye on prevention and long-term wellbeing.
Whether you speak English or Arabic, you will be understood here. I want every patient to feel at home.
The foundation behind your care
I trained as a Family Medicine physician in Chicago, receiving a comprehensive education in clinical medicine, evidence-based practice, and whole-person care across all age groups and life stages. Family Medicine training is uniquely broad, preparing physicians to manage a wide range of conditions while maintaining a personal, continuous relationship with each patient.
I have developed a special interest in preventive medicine and geriatrics, focusing on helping older adults stay healthy, active, and independent as they age. From managing complex chronic conditions to reviewing medications and coordinating specialist care, I approach each patient with the depth and attention their health deserves.
I stay current through ongoing continuing medical education, because the best care is grounded in the latest evidence, and I translate that knowledge into clear, practical guidance for every patient I see.
What I believe about your care
Every physician has a philosophy, whether they say it out loud or not. Here is mine: the principles that shape every visit, every decision, and every conversation we will have together.
- 1I believe in listening before I act.Good care starts with truly understanding what you are experiencing. I take the time to hear the full picture before making any recommendations.
- 2I believe in whole-person care.Your health does not exist in isolation. I look at everything, your conditions, your medications, your daily life, and I treat you as a complete person, not a collection of problems.
- 3I believe your family belongs in the room.A spouse, son, or daughter often holds part of the picture. I welcome your loved ones to every visit, because the best care includes the people who care about you.
- 4I believe in prevention, not just treatment.Keeping you well is as important as treating illness. I emphasize preventive care, screenings, and healthy habits alongside managing any conditions you already have.
